We really have a three season climate - spring, fall, and a long summer. The only thing missing is the severe, freezing temperatures, and of course, the snow! Sea breezes from the Gulf of Mexico and frequent showers minimize the summer warmth and provide ample moisture for farm crops, home gardens and plants. The average humidity is a low 65%, as compared to the lower sub-tropical parts of FL, which so many people find completely unbearable to reside within during the summer season.

FL is home to the nation's largest underground fresh water reserves, including one of the largest aquifers in the world, The FL Aquifer. Wells are permitted in Citrus Springs for irrigation purposes. Citrus Springs is a deed-restricted community. While not overly restricted, the Deed Restrictions are intended to maintain the beauty of the community and safeguard your investment. Basically they provide for minimum house sizes depending upon lot (larger homes on the golf course for example) as well as set back requirements. Mobile homes are not allowed.
